An attempt to make a Guinness World Record is going to be held next month in Nepal. Under the banner of ‘Buddha was born in Nepal’ , a total of 50,000 people are scheduled to recite the messages of Shakyamuni Gautam Buddha.

The programme will be held in Kathmandu on February 10 where people from across the country would join. Organizer Dipak Sharma Bajgain said ‘ The programme is being organized for nation and nationality and set the record in Nepal’s name by pronouncing the Buddha’s messages and ‘Dhhamapad’.
Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet announced to provide Rs 51,000 himself to make the programme successful.
Currently, India holds a Guinness World Record for such an event. 46,660 people had recited the ‘Jan Pana’ of 16th century poet Poothanam to keep the world record.
