Jonty Rhodes, The South African Cricketer, all-rounder and a fielding coaching staff of Indian Premier League(IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians has a daughter named India. Jonty Rhodes loves Hinduism and it has been seen from years of his practices. He goes into temples, he is seen wearing traditional Hindu clothes on occasions. And recently, he had performed Pooja, not by compelling, threat and not by pressure. Jonty Rhodes loves Hinduism by natural attraction.
It has been known from the sources that Jonty performed Puja of Lord Shiva on his visit to Shashwotdham for his daughter India Jeanne Rhodes at Pejawar Mutt in Mumbai, India and Shashwotdham. The cricket coach has expressed love for his India and it’s Hindu culture and tradition for that reason he has named daughter ‘India’. He has done fire sacrifice (Havana) for the small daughter and for the welfare of the nation and world. Rhodes and his family are so much attracted and fascinated by the rich cultures and geographical diversity of India.
On an interview took about a year ago in the temple while he performing pooja, he told “I have spent a lot of time here. What I love about India is that it’s a rich mix of culture, heritage, and tradition. It is a very spiritual country, very forward-thinking nation. I really like that combination. You have to have a good balance of life,”.
On following the Indian culture and they were found sometimes practicing Yoga eating Indian vegetarian meals and love to visit the temple on the regular basis. He also visited a temple in Tamil Nadu called, Annamalaiya Temple with all the family members to get blessings.
