The dilemma of 8th March Every Year, Can’t Women Be Treated Equal?
So, celebrated women’s day? Isn’t it awkward that you celebrate women’s day once a year and the rest of the 364 days are celebrated by men? Yeah! You got it right, I am talking about male domination. The day 8th of March, women’s day is being celebrated all over the globe. The day is given for the respect of women and they are praised, accoladed. Wow, great! Isn’t that enough for girls? These being the mentality of the sick, retarded and obscure mind.
The day is marked as International Holiday and all around the globe, Women’s Day exercises commonly advance discussions of gender inequalities. Issues, for example, unequal pay, training, casting ballot rights and sex-based viciousness are, in any event for at least one day, critical arguments to make the hot stories in the media.
The theme for International Women’s Day (8 March) this year, “Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change”, puts innovation by women and girls, for women and girls, at the heart of efforts to achieve gender equality. All these celebrations and happiness of women’s day are good but the girls and women are not even free to walk in the streets alone without fear and dilemma.
Nepal is doing wow! just wow; when you count the crimes and violence against women, trafficking, polygamy, child marriage, rape, attempted rape, domestic violence, and accusation of practising ‘witchcraft’ in the recent months you will find it increased by around 50 %. Are they safe? This question has been scrupulous for every individual of the society and we should all be ashamed of treating our daughters, sisters, mothers in the worst possible way we ever could.
